IBPOC Get Connected

Then join us for our Get Connected Panel for Queer, Trans, Two-Spirit and Ally students to hear from student panelists sharing their UBC experiences, student advice, and helpful resources! Indigenous Staff & Faculty Collegia Open House

The Vancouver Indigenous Students Collegium (VISC) will open September 12 for students. We invite Indigenous faculty, staff and students to visit and view the new space. FNHL staff and VISC student staff will be there to host and share about the student resources that are available in the VISC.

Beading Circle Social

Join us in fostering community connection and kinship at the Beading Circle Social. All Indigenous beaders are invited to join. Bring your skills or your desire to learn to the first of many beading circles hosted by our FNHL Student Engagement Coordinator, student staff and beading enthusiasts. Beads, supplies, tools and snacks will be provided.

Plant A Friend & Vision Boards

Did you just move into a new room on or off campus, or did your roommate let all your plants die over the summer? Maybe you have always wished to keep a plant alive and green your thumb. Join FNHL Student Staff and your Collegia Advisors for 'Plant a Friend': paint and decorate pots for bright green succulents and tropical plants to brighten up your study spaces. All you need to do is provide sun and water for your plant friend to transform through the semester with you!

Healthy Happy Hour

Kick off the first week of school with a healthy happy hour! SVPRO, UBC Wellness, UBC's Community of Practice for Harm Reduction and UBC Student Recovery partner with the FNHL to bring you this event. Expert bartenders will make magical mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails), and there will be an exciting selection of charcuterie boards for all dietary needs and a banging playlist to celebrate your first week of classes.
