Since each Workshop has limited capacity, these sessions are first-come, first-served. If the Workshop you choose to attend is full, you can find another Workshop in the area.

Zone 1 – UBC Farm
UBC Farm - Connect to the Land, Connect to Community
Location - UBC Farm
Learn all about the UBC Farm and the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems. In addition, learn about the myriad of ways to get involved at the Farm. We welcome student interest from all disciplines, backgrounds, and levels of experience. The Farm is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the main campus, and is near Wesbrook Village (UBC's South Campus).

Go Global – Your Gateway to International Learning

Curious about studying or conducting research abroad? Join Go Global to learn about the wide range of opportunities available to you as a UBC student. Meet peers who share your interests, ask questions, and get tips from students who have studied abroad on how to start planning your global experience
Navigating Your Health and Wellbeing at UBC and Beyond
Location - BUCH A103
Students will be introduced to the programs and services available to them at UBC and beyond to support their health and wellbeing. They will learn how to access these resources and explore ways to proactively support their health and wellbeing as UBC Students.
Your Climate Action Journey at UBC
Location - BUCH A104
UBC's Climate Action Plan sets ambitious targets to reduce emissions on campus, but we can't do it without you! This workshop is your one-stop shop to meet new people who are passionate about creating a more sustainable world, while learning more about what your own climate action journey on campus might look like. Let's create a more vibrant and sustainable campus together!
The Alumni Connection – Build Your Network, Shape Your Career, Transform Your Life

How do I succeed at university? Where can I make professional connections? How do I find a job? Few students are aware of the opportunities offered by the UBC alumni network. We want to change that! This session is for students who want to build professional connections and set themselves up for success.
Climate Walk - Touring Our Sustainable Campus
Location – BUCH A202
This workshop is a short campus tour exploring how UBC is incorporating sustainability in campus infrastructure in response to the changing climate. The walk will orient participants to the UBC Campus by focusing on key landmarks, popular learning spaces, and student hubs.

How to Find Work & Research Opportunities at UBC
Location - IRC 2
This workshop offers an overview of the various work and research opportunities available to students at UBC. You'll learn how to search for and apply to on-campus jobs, access resources through the UBC Career Centre, and make connections with faculty & staff who can help you along the way.
Navigating Healthcare and Wellness in Canada as an International Student
Location - IRC 4
Healthcare systems work very differently in different countries. In this workshop, you will learn about Canada's healthcare system and how to access care when you need it. You'll be introduced to the health and wellness resources on campus and how to make the best use of your health insurance. You should leave this session feeling empowered to manage your health and wellbeing in Canada as an international student.
Secrets of UBC Library

In this fun interactive workshop, learn the secrets of the UBC Library. Discover essential skills that will set you up for success, like what help you can get from a librarian, how to find papers & books, fun (and free!) collections, and much more. Pave your way to scholastic excellence!
