UBC is home to a very large international community, and its greatest asset lies in the opportunity to interact with people from diverse backgrounds across the globe. As a travel enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoy learning about different cultures and countries through my friends on campus.

When I first started as a new student, I felt really homesick and had a tough time making friends. I didn't know much about the mental health services and communities offered by UBC, and I wish I had known more. It would have made a big difference for me.
