Campus Experience Tour

Explore campus with your peers and Orientation Leader through an Arts lens! This is an opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with campus, your community, and the opportunities that lie ahead. Be sure to bring your class schedule as you may get to visit your lecture halls, classrooms, and labs!

Your lecture hall adventures start here - meet your CAP cohort and learn more about the program! You will get to interact with a faculty member and ask questions about what learning in a university environment is like.

Meet the Dean of Arts and the Arts Undergraduate Society who will be addressing and welcoming the new Arts cohort. Note that this is a large, indoor event.

Grab lunch with your orientation group, then visit the Arts Faculty Fair in the Buchanan Courtyard to interact with dozens of Arts departments and resources. Come ask questions about courses, instructors, majors/minors, and how to get involved in Arts.

Pep Rally
- Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sport Centre

Join thousands of other new-to-UBC students from all faculties at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sport Centre! Celebrate the start of the academic year and hear from featured speakers. It’s the beginning of a new adventure! Please note that this is a large, indoor event with loud noises and strobing lights.
Main Event

Visit hundreds of booths along Main Mall hosted by UBC student groups, clubs, and UBC services. Chat with group representatives, sign up for clubs, or take part in activities throughout the fair.
The Compass: Arts Student Engagement Hub
The Compass is a welcoming community of Arts students, staff, faculty, and alumni that offers student engagement, wellbeing, and career programming, along with curated resources through our own Canvas page. We host 1-2 events every week in the Arts Student Centre (with snacks!) Check out the Compass website to learn more, enroll in our Canvas course, and see all upcoming events.

Things to note
Time Zone: The schedule is displayed in Pacific Daylight Time.
In case it rains: If it's raining on the morning of Imagine UBC you will still be meeting your Orientation Group in the same location.
Things to bring: Water bottle, snacks, walking shoes, a rain jacket (just in case), a backpack, pen and paper.
