Imagine UBC: Arts Additional Schedules
Students in the following Arts programs will have a different schedule than their Jump Start Learning Community on Imagine Day (September 5th):
- Coordinated Arts Program (CAP)
- Arts One
- BIE Students
These special schedules on Imagine Day will allow you to get to know more about your specific program and connect with other students in the same program. And don’t worry – there will still be familiar faces from your Learning Community with you on Imagine Day, including one of your Jump Start leaders.

Coordinated Arts Program (CAP)
Meet Up:
Time: 9:45am - 10:15am
Location: Meet up in the same location as you did during Jump Start
- Commuter LC: Money and Raymond M.C. Lee Square
- Residence LC: Main Mall, Wyman Plaza to Koerner Plaza, Location 6
Start your day with a meet up with your Orientation Leader and group.

Your lecture hall adventures start here - experience what it is like to attend lectures at UBC at this Meet a Prof session with fellow CAP students! You will get to interact with a faculty member, and ask questions about what learning in a university environment is like!
Welcome to Arts:
Time: 11:30am - 12:05pm
Location: Chan Centre
Meet the Dean of Arts and the Arts Undergraduate Society who will be addressing and welcoming the incoming class.
Lunch:
Time: 12:15pm - 1:15pm
Location: Flag Pole Plaza
Eat lunch outdoors with your orientation group, then visit the Arts Faculty Fair in the Buchanan Courtyard to chat with different departments, involvement opportunities, and resources.
Pep Rally:
Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Location: Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre
Join thousands of other new-to-UBC students from all faculties at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sport Centre! Celebrate the start of the academic year and hear from featured speakers. It’s the beginning of a new adventure!
Main Event:
Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: Throughout Main Mall
Visit hundreds of booths along Main Mall hosted by UBC student groups, clubs, and UBC services. Chat with group representatives, sign up for clubs, or take part in activities throughout the fair.
