I am a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry (I know, I just heard you get excited about chemistry, I do not blame you). I completed my Ph.D. at UBC in 2013 where I studied organic chemistry. Since that time, I have worked closely with students in first and second year to better prepare them for their future academic and professional lives. I am involved in many UBC initiatives, including the Prof In Space program, domestic and international recruiting efforts, as well as Jumpstart! I also work to improve the curriculum that is taught in the upper year chemistry laboratories, and currently run CHEM 233 (if youre planning on med school, dental school or pharmacy you will know this course soon).
