Gerald Baier is an Associate Professor of Political Science. He researches and teaches in the areas of Canadian politics, federalism and the constitution. Along with Max Cameron he created the Institute for Future Legislators at UBC, a boot camp full of experiential learning for aspiring politicians to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for being an effective law maker in Canada. He has taught first year Canadian politics for his entire teaching career and relishes the opportunity to make that topic relevant and exciting to new students.
