Most recently, I have been teaching Arts Studies classes at UBC in the Coordinated Arts Program, as well as across English Literature and Gender, Sexuality and Womens Studies. I completed my PhD in Cultural Studies at the University of Minnesota in 2019. Interdisciplinarity is a fundamental part of my teaching and scholarship, as well as my creative practice. My current work investigates the role of poetry in everyday life, engaging the political economies of urbanism and the contemporary built environment and looking specifically at public installations of poems in commercial space. I come to these questions with a background in poetics, critical theory, geography, and urbanism.
