Anka Lekhi is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the department of Chemistry and Vantage Science. Her primary teaching duties include first year Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry. Her scholarly work is focused on Chemistry students experiences of active learning pedagogies and enhancing intercultural communication and inclusion. Ankas parents immigrated to Canada from India and she grew up experiencing both cultures. Now, she shares both cultures while raising her two kids. Anka loves teaching international students and learning about their rich cultures. She looks forward to Jumpstart and helping students transition in their academic life at UBC.
